M6 Advanced Traffic Management (ATM) Project Update

The Highways Agency is about to start hard shoulder strengthening work along the M6 between J5 & J8 and J10A & J16 for Stoke in advance of future peak period hard shoulder running (ATM) reports Liberal Democrat councillor Ian Shires.

The work will be carried out 7 days a week between the hours of 10pm and 6am in order to keep congestion to a minimum say the Highways Agency.

A meeting has been scheduled between the Highways Agency and Walsall councillors to discuss the Agencies proposals for the stretch between J8 & J10A of the M6.

This meeting will take place on Tuesday 15th September at Walsall Council House and will be in advance of any meetings with residents affected by the Advanced Traffic Management proposals.
