A meeting is planned for later today to attempt to get more detail about the work planned as part of the controversial M6 Traffic Management Scheme between J10 and 10a in the Willenhall area reports Liberal Democrat councillor Ian Shires.
As well as getting an up to date look at the planned work which is aimed at using the hard shoulder at peak times, it is hoped to establish just how the Highways Agency is to improve its consultation links with those directly affected by the works.
Over the weekend Lib Dem Focus Teams in Willenhall North and Short Heath delivered a Special Focus in the areas affected, bringing residents up to date on the happenings of last week when contractors began working in a number of areas without prior notification to residents, local councillors or indeed with the council itself.
