Following the “Partner” meetings in Willenhall, Darlaston Jet are now running a service in Willenhall for job seekers.
Every Tuesday between 12pm and 2pm job seekers from Willenhall can drop in for the following support:
- Job Search Support
- Help using the internet
- Help with completing online job applications / registrations
- Helping with CV’s, cover letters and application forms
- Interview techniques, advice and support
- Re-training, advice on courses and new career paths
- Signposting to other services.
The service is provided from 89 Stafford St – Fibbersley Park Children’s Centre shop (opp Boots) Willenhall Town Centre. Darlaston Jet are also working closely with Willenhall CHART centre to develop specific training courses in partnership with other agencies who have been involved so far in joint meetings.
In addition to this Willenhall Library is also hosting and providing support every 2nd Thursday between 11am and 1pm or appointments can be made via the library. Support available includes:
- Free internet use and help
- Help with online applications
- Help with job searching
- Help with CV’s and job searching
- Signposting to other services.
New Invention Library are also setting up a similar service via Lighthouse Children Centre’s new Development Worker more info on this as it emerges. Pool Hayes are also looking at a unique programme offering support via volunteers and also at more accessible times, again more info on this as it emerges.
A “Job’s Board” placed in the shop window which will be in a prime location for passers by being considered. Any services eg training please contact Cameron at Darlaston Jet to help promote these etc.
