Walsall Council Press Release 22 Aug 12
It is now easier than ever to enrol at Walsall Adult & Community College (WACC), with the introduction of new ways of paying for your chosen course.
Learners can now choose how to pay for their subject, by either paying with cash or cheque, direct debit and Chip and PIN, providing that the cost for the course is over £100.
Should learners select a 1 year course, they can pay 50% at the start, and then spread the remaining cost equally over two terms.
Fees for shorter courses can be paid at the start of the new term (50%) and then at the mid-way point of the programme.
“This is the first time we have offered direct debit and Chip and PIN at WACC,” says Sheila Minchin, director for quality and performance.
“We believe it’s important to offer learners flexible ways of paying for their chosen course so that course fees aren’t a deterrent for prospective students.”
The college offers hundreds of learning opportunities for young people, school leavers, students considering higher education and adults interested in studying full or part-time.
Learners can choose to enrol immediately or attend any one of the college’s enrolment days on Saturday 1 September between 10am and 2pm, Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 September from 10am to 7pm.
This year enrolment will take place at the college’s main Hawbush campus in Beeches Road, as well as at its Whitehall Centre in Weston Street and at the WACC Shack store in Walsall Town Centre, opposite Carphone Warehouse.
