Cold calling – don’t buy it!

National Consumer Week 2012 is not far off now – the launch date is 12 November.  Our theme this year is ‘cold calling -don’t buy it’ – the aim is to empower the most vulnerable consumers to say no and stay safe in their homes.

We will be promoting the no cold calling ‘super sign’ which enable householders to create their very own, instant no cold calling zone .  The sign tells cold calling doorstep traders to leave - if they don’t, it is a criminal offence.

The ‘super sign’, along with posters and leaflets, will be available to download from our website soon!

Our 2011 National Consumer Week campaign ’good sports don’t fake it’ has been shortlisted for a CIPR pride award – the winner will be announced 11 October.
