Monday 2 – Thursday 5 March
Due to planned engineering work the following train service alterations will apply:
- Please be advised that from 20:30, trains operating between Birmingham and Wolverhampton (and vice-versa) will be running on a diversionary route, and therefore will not be able to serve any intermediate stations. All intermediate stations will be served by a rail replacement bus service.
Saturday 7 – Sunday 8 March
Due to planned engineering work the following train service alterations will apply:
- London Midland will operate rail replacement buses to replace trains between Whitlocks End and Stratford-upon-Avon, however the buses will run to and from Shirley, and it may be better to transfer to the bus at Shirley rather than Whitlocks End.
- Chiltern Railways services between London Marylebone and Stratford-upon-Avon will still run and will call at stations between Wilmcote and Stratford-upon-Avon.
- No trains are able to run between Walsall and Rugeley Trent Valley and a replacement bus service will run.
- In addition, until approximately 12:30 on Sunday afternoon, the line will also be closed between Tame Bridge and Walsall and the replacement bus service will run between Tame Bridge and Rugeley Trent Valley.
- The 22:31 (Sat) Birmingham New Street to Manchester Piccadilly and the 10:01 (Sun) Birmingham New Street to Manchester Piccadilly CrossCountry services will be diverted not calling at Stoke-on-Trent or Macclesfield. Replacement buses will operate between Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent with connecting alternative rail services running between Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield.
- On Sunday morning, the 09:33 (departing 09:54) London Midland service from Crewe to London Euston service will be diverted between Crewe and Stafford not calling at Alsager, Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent or Stone. A replacement bus will run from Crewe to Stafford at 08:44, calling at Alsager, Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent and Stone.
Sunday 8 March
Due to planned engineering work the following train service alterations will apply:
- The 21:04 Cardiff Central to Chester and the 21:08 Birmingham International to Chester will be diverted via Wrexham General, a connecting bus will run from Shrewsbury to Chester calling at stations normally served by the train. Passengers from Crewe to Chester should travel on the retimed 22:40 Birmingham International to Holyhead service.
Monday 9 – Thursday 12 March
Due to planned engineering work the following train service alterations will apply:
- Please be advised that from 20:30, trains operating between Birmingham and Wolverhampton (and vice-versa) will be running on a diversionary route, and therefore will not be able to serve any intermediate stations. All intermediate stations will be served by a rail replacement bus service.
- The 22:00 London Euston to Crewe, 22:30 and 23:30 London Euston to Wolverhampton and the 23:00 London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly, will be diverted via Northampton, running late from Rugby.
