Have to say that considering we are less than two weeks away from the elections we have yet to come across any of the other Party workers across New Invention and Short Heath. They must be out there somewhere because we do come across national stuff in porches and not all of it has come via the Post Office.

We also know that they are out there knocking on doors because you’ve told us so. You’ve also said that all they seem interested in is whether you’re going to vote for them or not. If your answer’s been no they’ve soon turned tail and disappeared off your door step. We know because you’ve told us so.

Many of you have also said that you will be voting for the Lib Dem Focus Team in the local elections because “We only see the other Party’s at election time”. This has been particularly so when you’ve talked to us about UKIP. People have said that they haven’t seen hide nor hair of either of their councillors since last May, you don’t know who they are or how to get in touch with them.

Some of you have even said that you voted for them last year because of the EU election and it’s only been in the past couple of weeks that you’ve had anything from them and then it’s all been about Westminster not what matters to you locally. One person actually said that they felt that they were being used by UKIP as a stepping stone to Westminster, they felt that they were being used.

Virtually everyone we’ve spoken to has said “You are the only ones we see between elections, the others only come round when they want our vote”
