We received the following email off Walsall Council updating us on the latest fuel switch. It was Liberal Democrats who first got Walsall Council to join this scheme .

Thank you for your continued support with spreading the word about possible cheaper fuel bills for our residents, it is very much appreciated. Over Twenty Thousand residents in the country have taken part in the May 2015 collective fuel switch.

Collective switches are where residents get together to form a single powerful buying unit, cheaper energy bills could be the result for each household that signs up. Switching is available to all householders whether you own or rent or have a prepayment meter. Even people with a debt on a pre-payment meter of up to £500 are able to switch supplier.

The Deadline for the next switching auction is the 12th October 2015.

There is no obligation on you to switch if you do register the choice remains entirely yours. Not everyone who registers is able to save money and the decision to switch or not always remains a private matter.
