The Police confiscated a second quad bike in Rough Wood Bank Holiday Monday afternoon following complaints from residents.

The summer has seen a big increase in this type of anti social behaviour. Not only do they put other legitimate users of our green spaces and woodland at risk of serious injury but they are doing a great deal of damage to this Green Flag wood, churning up tracks built for walkers and destroying fencing near entrances.

Police are stepping up their activity in the area to respond to this and reports of joy riding on some of our main routes through the New Invention and Short Heath area.
