Regular users of Rough Wood have been in touch with Dan and Doreen concerned at all the damage being done by a few mindless individuals on trail and quad bikes. Paths through this Green Flag country park are being churned up and fencing has been broken down.

The Police and the Council’s antisocial behaviour team have been informed and are actively pursuing the culprits. At least one trail bike along with a quad bike have been confiscated.

“A disproportionate amount of time and effort is taken up chasing these idiots” said Dan. “Not only are they doing a great deal of damage but they are also putting people’s lives at risk as well as wasting valuable time and money for the hard pressed Police and Council officers involved. Money which could be spent on front line services”.
