Stay Well Walsall’s message

by Ian Shires on 13 November, 2015

I received the following in an email yesterday and wanted to share it with you……..

Winter is traditionally a busy time for the NHS and social care services, meaning that there is greater than usual demand on local services.

NHS Walsall Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), together with local health and social care partners at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust and Walsall Council, have launched a campaign to encourage communities across Walsall to keep well this winter.

The ‘Stay Well Walsall’ campaign aims to encourage people to keep well by looking after themselves and having the flu vaccine. It also raises awareness of the free local NHS services that are available.  By making the right choices at the right time, patients will receive the best possible treatment in the most appropriate place. It also allows busy A&E departments to help the people who need them most.

Information about the range of local services can be found here: www.walsallccg.nhs.uk/stay-well-walsall

Over the next few weeks, look out for posters, adverts in the local media and a handy guide through your door that contains useful information and health advice. We’ll also be out and about across Walsall over the next few weeks talking to people and giving out information.
