To say that the # 69 National Express West Midlands (NXWM) bus service from Walsall to Wolverhampton via New Invention is unreliable is an understatement judging by the number of complaints that Lib Dem Focus Team Cllr Ian Shires and his Team have received in recent weeks.

Enquiries to NXWM have shown that this particular service is yet another victim of the work being carried out by the Highways Agency around J9 of the M6. This coupled with the work being done by Walsall Council has been identified as the cause of the erratic running of this service.

National Express has apologised for the inconvenience and says that things should get back to normal once J9 reopens. The Highways Agency has said that their work around this junction should be completed shortly.

On a further issue concerning bus services in the north Willenhall area, NXWM has confirmed that the 41 Walsall to Willenhall via New Invention is supposed to pick up both sides of the Lichfield Rd at and opposite The Square. Some drivers it would seem were not letting passengers get off at The Square on the Willenhall bound journey.
