Anti Social Behaviour on the rise as Tory Cuts begin to bight!

by Ian Shires on 23 January, 2016

ASB The SquareAnti social behaviour of all kinds is on the rise across many parts of Willenhall North judging by your comments to the Willenhall FOCUS Team in the weeks just before and after the Christmas period.

The causes and effects have been made worse by continued austerity measures imposed by the Conservative Government and exacerbated by the Conservative administration currently running Walsall Council.

Funding cuts agreed by the Conservatives last February are being felt as what youth facilities the Council ran in the area have either been closed. Inevitably idle hands are turning to things of an anti social nature.

To make matters worse Walsal’s all Conservative Cabinet are making what are known as “in year” cuts not scheduled in the current budget. They say they are doing this in order to take into account the £84 million their Tory Masters in Westminster are imposing on your Council over the next four years.

“I am sick of hearing Mike Bird’s Conservatives bleating on about their Government not knowing the effect that austerity measures are having on local services” said Lib Dem FOCUS Team Cllr Ian Shires. “They seem to forget that they were out campaigning during the elections last May to put Conservative MPs into Westminster.”
