A bit of good news for long suffering motorists in the Short Heath, New Invention area.

Following a long campaign by Willenhall North’s Lib Dem Cllr Ian Shires some much needed resurfacing work is to be carried out on the approaches to and around the Amery Island at the junction of Cannock Road, Wesley Road and Coppice Lane.

As with all such things there’s going to be a little pain before the gain. There will be some disruption as this is a very busy junction. The work is due to be carried out in the second week of half term between 17 to 23 February between the hours of 7 pm to 7 am.
