Work to finish off the resurfacing of sections of Stroud Avenue between Spindletree Way to Aberford Close scheduled for Friday 22nd April and Saturday 23rd April and Ensbury Close to Pennine Way on Monday 25th April.

In both cases there will be localised road closures between 9.15 am and 3.30 pm on both days.

Commenting on the planned work Cllr Doreen Shires said “This work was desperately needed. Stroud Avenue takes a number of bus services as well as being a busy distributor road for Short Heath and Bentley so inevitably the road surface takes a pounding but so do many other roads across Short Heath. We were desperately disappointed in the miserly amount the Government gave Walsall to sort out potholes recently so no matter how bright a face the Tories try to put on this it hardly scratches the surface.”
