A hung Parliament becoming more likely by the day as the real issues emerge.

Mrs May and her clones are everywhere. To be precise in every constituency as candidates comply with the command to refer to themselves as Theresa May’s local candidate. Since when did we have a presidential democracy?

Always thought that in the UK we had a parliamentary democracy and that going to vote in the General Election was about voting for someone who actually gave a damn about the area that they would represent should they be elected. Every single one of the Tory election leaflets I have seen to date has whoever the actual candidate is cosying up to their leader Theresa May. Well from what people are telling us this ploy is not working.

Whilst we are going on about blowing myths out of the water, another myth that we are picking up on is that this election is all about Brexit. Wrong again. The Referendum has come and gone. Last June you voted by a very small margin who bothered to vote to leave the EU. The only argument now is who should have the last say on the deal? Should it be the Prime Minister, Parliament or indeed the people at large who should have the last say?

No the real issues that are concerning the people that we have spoken with since the Tory Manifesto was launched on an unsuspecting public on the 19th May are far more down to earth.

Older people are asking about the so called “Death Tax”. People aren’t soft, they know that by including the value of your home in your estate that only a small minority will qualify for exemption when it comes to sorting out the cost of the health care you receive. And let’s face it it”l make no difference to the rich. A few £100K here or there means nothing to them. But to the vast majority of you it’ll mean the State depriving your kids of your hard earned cash as grim reaper Theresa steps in on your death to whip your house from under their noses.

For those with growing families their big worry is the standard of education their kids will get, and once again, unless you’re rich and private education is easily within your reach, access for your kids to the new grammar schools planned by the Tories will be nothing but a pipe dream as local schools are starved of cash in favour of
