Willenhall Liberal Democrats were out and about as usual over the weekend delivering Focus and talking with residents. For once the weather was reasonable so we got to talk with a good many residents as we made our way round the area.
By far the biggest issue remains that of littering, fly tipping with dog fouling coming in a close 2nd.

Who is responsible for keeping the paths clean?
Not your ward I know, but on the walk from the wharf to the manor (which is cheerily painted off to the manor we go) some parts are barely passable for the amount of dog and horse muck. It’s vile.
I’ve tried contacting by Twitter the accounts I thought were responsible but had no response and over recent weeks it’s just got worse.

That would be the Canal and Rivers Trust. I’ve contacted the local office, explained the issue. They are going go out, have a look to assess the problem and take appropriate action. Give them max a couple of weeks if the path hasn’t been cleaned please let me know so’s I can chase them up.
