Just a quick reminder about the resurfacing of Fletcher Rd between Lichfield Rd and Moore Rd. see below.

The work is due to start tomorrow (Monday) and is planned to be completed Tuesday. Work will be carried out between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm both days. There will be a road closure in place.

A number of residents have contacted the Lib Dem Focus team asking if anything can be done about the condition of that section of Fletcher Rd between its junction with the Lichfield Rd and Moore Rd. It really is a patchwork quilt of patches and pot holes.

The Willenhall North Team went out to see first hand just how bad it was. We took photographs and sent our report into Walsall Council a couple of weeks ago to add to the dossier of complaint we have put forward on this section of road in the last few months.

The good news is that Walsall Council’s Highways agrees with us, patching is not the answer on this very busy residential road which is also a bus route. the road will be resurfaced between 12th and 13th February. Work will be carried out by Tarmac on behalf of Walsall Council between 9.00 am and 3.30 pm.
