Darlaston Rotary HELP!
On 30 June 2019 the Rotary Club of Darlaston is likely to CLOSE after over 70 years of supporting hundreds of good causes in the town and in the wider community. The reason is quite simple. Our small membership is ageing fast and a number have worrying health concerns.
Closure of the club will mean that all the GOOD WORKS we do each year supporting the young, the old and the less fortunate, will cease. It will even mean that we will be unable to bring Santa Claus to the area.
What we need are some younger men and women with new ideas, new skills and MORE VITALITY who can spare a few hours each month.
It’s not expensive. The current membership fee is £8.00 PER MONTH and much of this goes to insurance cover for members & friends who help at events.
We meet for about 2 hours twice a month (currently on Tuesday evenings) usually over tea & biscuits when we plan our fund raising activities and how best we can help the community. Occasionally we have a meal or other social activity.
Becoming a member has wider benefits eg 1.2 MILLION POTENTIAL FRIENDS throughout the world.
If you would like further information about how you can help to save Rotary in Darlaston please contact us via the “CONTACT US” page on our website
