New ALDI – Signs of progress

by Ian Shires on 12 January, 2019

I received some further evidence that ALDI are progressing their preparation for the building of their new store on Coppice Farm Way adjacent to the Essington Road.

Following on from recent conversations I have had with a representative of ALDI who confirmed that they were intending to begin work clearing the site ready for the new build, I have received notification off Walsall Council that they have received the following planning application with regard to signage:

Application Number: 18/1694
Proposal: Installation of 1 no. low level pedestrian entrance signs, 2 no. wall mounted illuminated ‘Aldi’ sign, 2 no. illuminated double post entrance signs, 1 no. vinyl ‘Aldi’ sign, 1 no. wall sign, 1 no. wall advertisement sign.
Site Address: COPPICE FARM WAY, WILLENHALL, WV12 5YH
Application Type: Advertisement Consent
Ward: Willenhall North
I have checked on the council’s website for details of what these signs look like and exactly where they will be situated but no documents are available yet, I would expect that they will be available shortly. You can view the progress of this application via the following link by adding in the Application No. shown above.
