Big Thank You – to all those who attended the West Locality Community Conversation

by Ian Shires on 29 November, 2019

I just want to say a big thank you to all those of you who came to the Community Conversation event Wednesday evening. The turn out was excellent. Over 50 people took part in finding positive ways of coming together as a community to resolve or deal with things that impact on our lives wherever we live across Willenhall and Darlaston.

There was a good mix of residents, organisations and partners which lead to some lively discussions out of which came some great ideas to help improve the local environment, reduce crime and anti social behaviour and improve the health and wellbeing for residents of all ages across our communities.

The Locality Team will be going through the feedback that came from the discussions and this will be made widely available to those who attended and to the wider community. As I said in my summing up at the end of the evening, we will now turn these ideas into actions; short term, medium term and long term and report back to the next Community Conversation in March on the progress being made.

I know that there were a number of local people and organisations who couldn’t turn up on the night because of prior engagements etc. If you let me know your contact details through a direct message I will make sure that you are included in the development of the West Locality Improvement Action Plan.

One final word, I’d like to say a big thank you to the volunteers at the Bentley Pavilion for making everyone feel so welcome, for all the hard work they put in preparing the room for the event and the food was spot on. Excellent venue, can thoroughly recommend it……….
