Walsall Council along with its Partners across the borough are working together to offer support to individuals and communities in the current, difficult circumstances.

The work being done by the Locality Managers is now paying dividends. The beauty of this is that is being driven from the grass roots up. What is developing out of it is a wider picture of just what is happening right across our borough.

Willenhall is part of the West Locality. The West Locality Manager is Michael Greenfield. As he said yesterday, there has been a good response from our communities here in the West. A number of people have come forward to volunteer, but we need more help.

• Are any groups in the local area ‘self-organising’ and supporting local residents (i.e. scouts/local shops/community groups, faith orgs etc.)?
