County Lines are a growing issue in the UK and a serious threat to the wellbeing of our children and young people.
We are all responsible for the safety and protection of our children and we must be aware of the risks and dangers they face in order to keep them safe.
Young people are being exploited and are losing hope, but it’s not always obvious. The Children’s Societies #LookCloser campaign, developed in partnership with the National County Lines Co-ordination Centre and British Transport Police, encourages everyone to learn the signs of child exploitation and how to report it if worried. If we learn to spot the signs, we can help keep them safe and stop this abuse from happening.
Signs of exploitation aren’t obvious so knowing what signs to look for is essential.
Everyone in society has a role to play in protecting children and young people from abuse and exploitation.Leave a comment
