Liberal DEMOCRAT Activist Learn more
by Ian Shires on 29 January, 2015
Having taken time out yesterday to do his day job in between getting updated on the work going on to integrate health and social care services across Walsall through the Government’s Better Care Fund at a Health and Wellbeing Board Development Session, today Liberal Democrat Councillor Ian Shires was back on the patch in New Invention and Short Heath.
This morning Ian was busy on site visits with Walsall Housing Group (WHG) lobbying to get action to resurface worn out footpaths off Essington Road opposite Baynton Road. This was followed up with a second visit to WHG’s garage are off Coltham Road at the back of houses in Wesley Road. This has to be the only garage court left that relies on a dirt track approach to garages.
Later in the morning Ian teamed up with Liberal Democrat Councillor Doreen Shires to meet with the Express and Star to highlight the problem of fly-tipping and vandalism at the former Brown Jug pub site in Sandbeds Roads.
This evening Ian is due to attend a council Scrutiny Panel meeting. More of the outcome of that and some feedback from the Health and Wellbeing Development Session over the coming days
