Popped into The Duke after delivering Focus in the rain this morning. Got some good feedback about the work that is being done on Short Heath Park in Hawthorne Road.
The outdoor gym is being used and residents are pleased with the new footpaths and the way it’s been opened up to make one big area.
On the down side concerns have been raised about the drive and the possibility of it being used as a short cut. The drive was never designed for use by cars other than to access the Good Companions Club which was tragically destroyed in a suspected arson attack back in February 2010.
I can understand why people might be concerned so will pass this on to the Council as part of the Information Session which takes tomorrow between 2.00 pm and 3.30 pm at Holly Trinity Online Centre, Coltham Road.
Other sessions are being planned at other key locations along Walsall’s first Health Trail. Dates, times and places will be advertised once agreed.
