The recent spell of very cold weather has taken its toll on parts of the local roads.

Fortunately for us much of our major routes have been resurfaced in recent years. So the problem is less prevalent than some other areas.

Your Lib Dem FOCUS Teams in the Short heath and New Invention areas have toured round since the thaw set in to identify problems and report them into Walsall Council. We may have missed a few so if you know of any roads suffering from a lack of TLC please let us know.

Have to say the crater in Wrighten Close (opposite) just off the Essington Road has to be the worst “pot hole” we found. This pot hole and all the others have been reported into the Council’s Highways chiefs
