Clean and Green have begun cutting the hedge around Short Heath Park in Hawthorne Road following complaints from residents.

There is a road safety issue to all this as the footpath across the Park leads to the alleyway through to the Forest Gate Estate. There isn’t a footpath on the Park side of Hawthorne Road and with the hedge not being cut for so long pedestrians are stepping out at a blind spot. This hedge needs cutting more than once a year, a point I have made to Clean and Green.

Whilst we are on about hedge cutting I have chased up Clean and green again this morning about the hedges in Bentley Lane. They are so overgrown on the Bentley Haye side of the road that pedestrians are being forced towards this very busy road.
