It seems that Tory candidates are taking a lead off Boris Johnson by turning down opportunities to face questions from the general public.

Such a question time had been planned at CHART in Willenhall yesterday evening. Unfortunately it had to be cancelled because the Conservative candidate and present MP for Walsall North Eddie Hughes pulled out.

By doing this not only does Eddie Hughes prevent local people from asking him questions and holding him to account, he also prevents candidates from the other Parties, Lib Dems, Labour, Greens etc from getting their point of view across and answering questions.

Our democracy is at stake thanks to these shoddy tactics being used by the Tories
