Walsall Council has announced that volunteering is being restarted as of Monday the 15th of June.
They have said a big Thank You to all of the volunteers who remained at home to stop the spread and alleviate pressure on essential services. Much appreciated.
Following government guidelines the Council are now able to restart a restricted litter picking support service.
•They are asking volunteers if they litter pick to please leave the bags by council bins, this can be either a street bin or a bin in the park.
•They have introduced new litter picking guidance for Covid-19 to ensure you are safe on a litter pick. (Please see the post on the Council’s website http://go.walsall.gov.uk/environment/walsall_community_litter_watch
•They have reinstated refuse bag deliveries to current volunteers with a no contact drop off.
