Just when you thought that the ASB problems at The Square, Lichfield Road had gone away it’s looking very much like it’s on the way back.

Willenhall Lib Dems Focus Team have been getting reports of problems at The Square over the past week after a long period calm at this popular local centre. “At present it’s low level ASB” said Lib Dem Ward Cllr Ian Shires “But the news we are beginning to see is worrying enough to flag up the issue with the local Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Council’s ASB Unit in an attempt to nip it in the bud.”

The news comes at a time when Youth Services in Walsall are facing around a 50% cut in funding as part of savings being proposed by the town’s Tory Administration. Neighbourhood Policing a major player in combating anti social behaviour also faces drastic cuts as the Tories at Westminster relentlessly continue their austerity measures.

It’s becoming more and more difficult to resolve issues such as those on The Square and it’s a fact that people are beginning to feel the effects of voting Tory at both national and local levels back in May.
