Yesterday (Tuesday) a damning report about Walsall Healthcare Trust hit the local press, TV and Radio. Tomorrow (Thursday) the Social care and Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee meets.
The Panel has a packed agenda with such important issues as the up coming Budget 2016/17, a review into Perinatal and Infant Mortality, reports from Healthwatch Walsall and a report on the CQC inspection of Walsall Healthcare Trust.
I am a member of the Social Care Scrutiny Panel, it is now almost 5 pm on the day before the meeting. I am still awaiting a copy of the report.
Four important issues concerning the residents of Walsall. Each issue probably deserves a meeting in its own right. How are we as elected members supposed to carry out the important task of holding those in authority to account?
